Bio
"Stuck in the 70s" may sound like a bad cliché but when it comes to Eye Bender, their music is comprised of the freshest sounds you will have heard in a very long time. Influenced by the monsters of rock at the height of their maturity in the 70s and morphing those influences with present day heavy metal, Eye Bender alchemizes these vibrations to form its own new sound.
Eye Bender is a rock project conceived in late 2016 by Vancouver guitarist Victor Yong featuring lead vocalist Betty J. The duo performs live as a five-piece band with regularly hired members. Loud and proud with power chords and heavy riffs to match, the band delivers. It pays homage to hard rock/power bands of the 70's including Black Sabbath, Rush, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. Its songs are composed with guitar and keyboard/organ solos and a groove that will lead you into the psychedelic plane.
All songs on Eye Bender’s debut album Tomorrow were composed and produced by Yong and it was released on March 12, 2017. On June 22, 2017, the band released a music video for their single “Tomorrow” directed by Rob Willey and produced by Rob Abatte for Tall Grass Films.
The band is currently at work promoting the album and lining up more festival dates.
